Course Materials List

How do I find my Course Materials List? Click here for a visual guide!

How do I know what textbooks, kits, or uniform I need for my class?

All course materials for your program—textbooks, kits, supplies, and uniforms—will be found on your course materials list.
To find this, search under "Books - Course Materials Search".
You can log in for a personalized list, select by your program, or search by courses (first option, View Courses for all Programs).
For the select by program or course, we recommend referencing your own course list to make sure you are looking at materials for the right classes. You can view your class schedule on Fanshawe's WebAdvisor or see your course landing pages on FanshaweOnline.
Once you have located your program, select all courses in the dropdown and click “Go”.  This will show you all course materials required and/or suggested for your program.

Personalized Course Materials List

You can use your Fanshawe log in credentials to view a personalized course materials list that only shows the courses you are currently enrolled in. You can find this option on the Course Materials Search page at the top. There is a Fanshawe Sign In button at the top of the page.

Special Terms on Course Materials List

Sometimes there are specific terms on your course materials list instead of a purchaseable item. Here is a list with what they mean:
  • To Be Advised - Materials list is not confirmed at this time.
  • No Book Required - We do not have any books listed for your course
  • Instructor Will Provide Course Materials Order Information/Purchase Course Materials Online - Please see your instructor for information on where to purchase the materials you need. There will usually be a link or instructions in your FOL for these purchases, they do not go through us.
  • Course Materials/Item Retained From Previous Level - You will use the same materials from the previous level of your program/course.
  • Purchase Materials Online Through Link Provided - We will usually have the link you need to purchase through on your list. If not, please reach out to your instructor in this case.

 


Out of Stock/On Order Items

How do I order a book that is out of stock or on order?

If a book is out of stock or on order, you will not be able to order it until it shows that it is back in stock.

For many items, you will have the option of adding your email address to the waitlist. When the item comes into stock, you will receive an email letting you know the product is now available and ready for purchase. You can then proceed to order online or purchase in store.

Our website is live and quantities on hand will update as soon as they arrive, so please check back.

I need a book or resource that is not available on the site.

Please contact us with the information of what you require so we can look into it.

 


Orders & Website

Will I be notified when my online order is ready?

When your online order is ready for pickup, you will receive an email notifying you. Please bring your order number and student card or photo ID when picking up.

How can I track my order if it is being shipped?

If your online order is being shipped, you will receive a separate email with a Purolator tracking number. If you have not received an email within 2-4 business days, please contact us.

Can I cancel my order, or an item on my order?

If you need to cancel an item or your order, please contact the Falcon Shop at 519-452-4260 or email us at retail@fanshawec.ca
If you chose to have your order shipped to you and it has already been processed, we may not be able to pull the order before it ships. In this case, you would need to wait until you receive the order and then ship back the item to us for a refund. You may also refuse the package from Purolator if you are present during delivery.

I'm adding an item to my cart but it disappears during check out.

Please try purchasing in a different web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, etc.). If this does not work, please open a Private/Incognito window in your browser and try your purchase again.
If neither of these options help, please contact us.
 

Payment Options

What are accepted forms of payment?

Online orders:  Debit, VISA, MasterCard, and Gift Cards
In-store payments*: Debit, VISA, MasterCard, Gift Cards and FANCard
If you would like to pay online with your FANCard, please see the section below.
*Starting April 1st, 2026, our retail stores will transition to an in-store cashless payment model.

Can I use my FANCard or a Retail Services Gift Card to pay online?

You can use Gift Cards and FANCard as payment for your online orders, too.

  • If paying with a gift card, you need to enter the card number and pin code when prompted during check out.
  • When paying with your FANCard, the funds available need to be in your Flex account, not Meal Plan.  Please indicate in the Special Instructions section that you would like to use this method of payment. Please include your student name and student number.

How do I get a refund for my Meal Plan or Flex Plan?

 

The Residence Meal Plan cannot be refunded as per the residence contract.  Flex Plan funds can be refunded, but there is a $50 administration fee. Please contact the FANCard Office for assistance.
